Farm

This project envisions a brutalist farm that merges the raw, imposing aesthetics of brutalist architecture with the functionality and traditions of rural farming. Situated atop a geothermal hot spring lake, the farm harnesses the natural heat and steam from the water to provide warmth and generate electricity, ensuring a self-sustaining and energy-efficient operation. The farm specializes in breeding a rare species of high-altitude yaks, prized for their thick fur and nutrient-rich milk. The stark, monolithic concrete structures contrast with the rugged natural landscape, creating a visually striking environment that balances industrial strength with organic life. Through this design, the farm not only serves as a model for sustainable agriculture in extreme conditions but also redefines the intersection of brutalism and rural living.
